1.Faith Hill
Faith Hill's real name is Audrey Faith Perry and she was born in Jackson, Missippi to unwed parents who later married and had a son after giving her up for adoption. Ted Perry, a factory worker, and Edna Perry, a bank teller, adopted Faith and raised her along with their two biological sons.
2.Melissa Gilbert
Melissa Gilbert was adopted at one day old by actor and comedian, Paul Gilbert and his wife, actress and dancer, Barbara Crane. Barbara's father created the hit television series, The Honeymooners. Melissa's biological parents were a dancer and a sign painter who was also a stock car racer. The youngest of seven children, her biological parents had to give her up because they could not afford another child.
3.Michael Bay
Michael Bay was adopted as a baby and when he was a young man he began the search for his birth parents. Finding his biological mother, he continued to search for his biological father, learning that famous director of the Manchurian Candidate, John Frankenheimer, might be him. DNA tests proved him wrong and he never found his real father.

Ingrid Bergman's mother passed away when she was only two years old and her father died when she was twelve. From that point forward she lived with her aunt, who subsequently died six mother later. From there she went to live with an uncle. With such a tumultuous childhood, the beauty went on to be a famous movie star.

Alfred Lennon was separated from John Lennon's mother, Julia Stanley, when he was three years old, and two years later disappeared at sea. His mother was forced to allow John's Aunt Mimi and Uncle George to raise him, with frequent visits. It is unknown why his mother was never allowed to raise him full time after his father disappeared.
6.Bill Clinton
President Bill Clinton's biological mother was a widow when he was born and he was sent to live with his grandparents. His father died in a car crash just three months before he was born. His grandparents raised him for four years while his mother studied nursing. When his mother married Roger Clinton in 1950, she took Bill back, and gave him a half-brother four years later named Roger Clinton.
7.Kristin Chenoweth
Comedian and actress Kristin Chenoweth was adopted at just five days old in a small town called Broken Arrow, in Oklahoma. Jerry and Junie Chenoweth adopted her and were very open with her about her birth parents. Kristin has very little interest in finding them, happy with her adoptive family which includes her older brother Mark.

Raised in a Thembu trie in Mvezo, South Africa, Nelson Mandela's father died when he was only nine years old and he was informally adopted by Jongintaba, the chief of Thembu. Because his father played a big part in the rise of the chief, taking Nelson in was a way to pay back that debt.
