Are you an adult? Is being adult really for you? Life hits you so hard if you live the life of an adult, when you are not actually mature enough to lead it well. Let us show you 15 signs that show whether or not you belong in the ‘big people’ league.
1.Budget Planning, What it is?
You never plan your spending, and not at all into those little cash inflow calculations. You spend the first week of a month like a king, and rest of the three like a peasant. Forget about saving, at times you find it difficult even to get a beer or some food.
2.401(k), Is that the Name of a Car?
You do not know what taxes are and how they actually work. You do not even know how to file taxes. If you think 401(k) is the name of a race car, you do not really belong to the world of adults. The fact that you find its okay not to know that all these taxation details are super important, makes everyone feel you do not belong here.
3.No life at Home Other than You
Would you dare go out to get a life? We mean a pet or a plant! No, right? This is it. People who are not quite evolved into adulthood cannot take care of themselves first, forget about pets.
4.You Have no Idea on What You are Doing, Always
From waking up in the morning to sleeping, you do lots of things that look more or like this image. You are the master of confusion, making a mess of even little things, and ending up in awkward situations.
5.Your Home Resembles a Dumping Yard
With empty food boxes, wrappers, plastic bags, and laundry flying everywhere in the room leaving no livable space, you make a statement for yourself that you have not really understood the whole thing about being an adult.
6.The Drunk Texts that Make you Regret Every Morning
The texts look perfectly good and make great sense until you read them the next morning. Sending awkward, obscene or stupid text messages to your exes and friends when you are high, that you deeply regret when you come back to reality.
7.You Do Not Know How to Cook
Other than one or two instant recipes, you hardly know how to cook. Last time you tried to cook, no one really appreciated your efforts except the smoke alarm.

8.Your Life Isn’t Progressing Forward
When most of your friends are making good progress in life, you actually stay there doing nothing but procrastinating. You are stuck in the same circle that goes nowhere. You are least inspired, having no goals whatsoever.
9.Breakfast Becomes Lunch
You will convince yourself that a light snack or a breakfast recipe is more than enough to eat as lunch. Gone are the days where you have big fat lunch served by your mom, now you have to cook/buy good food on your own, or live on cereal.

10.You are Still Using Your Phone on a Family Plan
The fact that you are still on your family’s cell phone plan makes you an incomplete adult, if at all you think you are an adult. Nevertheless, there’s one good reason to continue in a family plan because it saves you some money to buy beers.
11.You Suffer from Chronic Alarm Snoozing Disorder
You set alarm an hour before you need to go to work, but you snooze it at least five times before you actually wake up. At times, your ‘snoozy’ attitude towards responsibilities makes people wonder what you are really up to.
12.You Have Not Done Laundry in a Long Time
You have not washed your clothes for a long time. You always think of buying a new pair of clothes rather than doing laundry. Clean clothes are not that important to you unless people around you are complaining.
13.Your Shopping Cart Looks like This
At times, you feel like going out shopping just to be little more productive than staying indoors watching TV or playing games. When you shop, your cart looks something like this. It would be a shame if you consume everything you buy, so half of what you buy will go into the trashcan a week later.
14.You Only Pay Bills on the Last Day
You always pay bills on last day just because you have time on your hands. It is not always about money, but about satisfying the deep desire for procrastination. At times you even make good use of a grace period.
15.You Do not Know the Meaning of Responsibility
Though responsibilities hit you in the face to freak you out for a moment, you tend to ignore them and happily continue doing nothing that you have been doing ever since you think you have become an adult.
