1.Woman

Yes so a lot has been added in order to turn it actually into a woman, but you still get the point when it is all done. Of course it makes it easier when she is an Asian woman because it does seem to just tie in with the language.

2.Big

Well this is quite similar to the word for person just an extra bar has been added in, which then leads to the hands, so it is going to be easy for you to get confused at the start. However, add on all of those bits and pieces and life does become so much easier.

3.Sun

Well this is pretty similar to the symbol for moon, but then you would expect that to a large extent anyway. Of course the fact that a sun has been drawn in the corner does make life that bit easier, but at least it makes Chinese a bit more interesting this way.

4.Water

Water is always going to be an important symbol in Chinese due to the importance that it has in their culture, so this is undoubtedly a good one to learn. As you can see you just have to imagine the droplet coming down under it.

5.Human body

This is a good example of how things can be combined to create a two word phrase and yet again the actual art does make life so much easier. Let's be honest if you saw it without the drawing you could try all night to come up with human body and never do it.

6.Horse

Yes ok so from the symbol itself you probably would not get that it was horse, but then when it is all drawn in the entire thing does indeed become a lot clearer. Now you cannot look at that symbol and see anything other than a horse.

7.Mountain

OK so to understand this symbol for mountain you do need to add in the actual mountain, but at least you can use the symbol as a base to work from. Yes there is some artistic license going on here, but hey surely that is allowed?

8.Forest

Life does become so much easier with this visual representation of the symbol or else you would end up being completely confused by it all. Forest does seem to be quite a big symbol when you stop and think about it.

9.Moon

Well this is a rather nice picture and it shows the Chinese symbol for the word moon. Of course you need a bit of help with the drawing in the top left corner, but apart from that surely everything else is pretty obvious?

10.Fire

See now that you can draw a flame it suddenly becomes clearer as to what the symbol for fire actually is. You have to admit that it is very effective when you see it drawn like this.

11.Mouth

You see all you have to do here is to imagine looking into a mouth, the tonsils are optional, and you have the symbol for that very word. It does seem to be the case that Chinese is indeed a bit easier than you think.

12.People

Well this is certainly a very easy way to think about the symbol for people because all you need to do is add a head and a couple of feet and you have a fully fledged person. It is just a pity that they do not also have arms.
