It focuses more on defense, and it is an ideal combat technique for someone who is short and slightly built. Both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo have their roots to traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, which is a crude martial art that has highly dangerous moves. 1.Hip Escape Or Shrimping

You can practice this technique alone or with the help of a friend. If you are doing it alone, just lie on your back and imagine a person on your top who is trying to choke you. Bring your two elbows together and move your body leftwards, and then rightwards, to loosen up the opponent's grip. 2.Scissor Sweep
Like hip escape, scissor sweep is also a guard passing technique that helps learners avoid the guard and get hold of the opponent quickly. When you are on the floor and being grappled by your opponent, grab their collar with your right hand. Make sure you grip their collar in such a way that all the four fingers are inside and thumb outside. This reduces the risk of finger injuries and gives you a better grip. Now get hold of their left elbow with your left hand. Put your right foot on the ground and shift all your body weight to the left shoulder. Move your left leg closer to the opponent's knee and twist yourself forcefully to a side and bring them down to the ground.
3.Triangle Choke
The triangle choke, also known as Sankaku Jime, is a commonly used submission maneuver of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and many other grapple arts. It happens when a person who is taken in the guard tries to cross their two legs around the neck of his opponent in an attempt to choke them. The extreme pain makes a fighter to give up the match, which in martial arts terms is called submission. 4.Cross Collar Choke

6.Double Leg Take Down
In martial arts, the term takedown refers to making a fighter fall on the ground. When you fall and have your back touching the ground, you are in a guard position. Your opponent who is on top of you is in a mount position. It is easy to attack the enemy from a mount position, so takedown moves have great significance in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Double leg takedown is a generic name. The actual term for it in BJJ community is Baiana. This is a very simple technique; all you need to do is bend, force yourself toward opponent's hip, and grab them by the back of their knees. 7.Americana Lock
Americana lock, also known as, bent armlock or key lock is submission move where an attacker exerts enormous pressure on the elbow by twisting it in an L shape. This painful technique forces the opponent to give up the match, without which they may face dire consequences including fracture. 8.Rear Naked Choke
Rear naked choke is a very common move that can be seen in many martial arts and combat sports. Many of the WWE and UFC superstars use this move to force their opponents to submit. Though this technique is hard to master, it is very easy to learn. Guard passing is a procedure in which the person on the top exerts more pressure on the opponent to be in a dominant position. 12.Guillotine Choke
