Cool Things To Make With 3d Printer

1.Shoes

This is probably quite surprising in that people have actually printed off shoes with a 3D printer. Some of the shoes have been quite elaborate when it comes to their design while others have printed off high heels although how comfy they are going to be is certainly something that is up for debate.

2.Coffee cups

You never need to be short of coffee cups ever again with a 3D printer as it is just a case of printing off another one when it is required and you can then start drinking from it. Ok you may not want as many handles as this example, but there are a whole host of designs out there.

3.Hanging light

This is just one of a whole host of examples of hanging lights that have been created using a 3D printer. How cool would it be to have your very own unique light that you have both designed and made hanging there in your home? OK it does not have to be as elaborate as this, but overall it is pretty cool to do.

4.IPad stand

How about designing your very own iPad stand unique to your own design? The only thing that you need to worry about is coming up with the design itself because the printing part should be quite straightforward leading to you getting one unique stand.

5.Gear wraps

Gear wraps are very useful as they just keep those small cables tidy and stops them from getting all tangled up in your bag. They are also very easy to print off with a 3D printer and in all honesty if you want to just get an idea as to how the printer works, then start off with this.

6.IPhone case

Are you fed up of the iPhone cases that are for sale? Do none appeal to you? Then with a 3D printer you can actually design and then print out your own, so your case will then be absolutely unique to you. The only limits has to be your own ability to come up with a design, but overall this is a cool thing to do.

7.Medical models

Printing out medical models does mean that you have a number of things to choose from as there are various bones or structures that can then be replicated in 3D. The chances are you will now be trying to work out the pieces you would want to print first.

8.Fetus

Believe it or not, but if you take that 3D scan of your unborn baby, then you can actually go and print out a model of it if you wish to do so. This may sound a bit of a strange thing to do, but you have to admit that it looks pretty cool even if it is unusual.

9.Kids figurines

If your kid loves to draw things, then how about using a 3D printer in order to print out that actual model. Imagine the look on their face when they see their drawing coming to life, so to speak anyway, because it is really cool and this alone is worth buying the machine for.

10.Flute

Apparently this 3D flute is not as bad as it seems and if you know what you are doing it should be possible to get quite a good tune out of it. Of course there are a lot of pieces that you need to consider getting printed out and know how to then actually play it, but even though it is not all shiny and metallic it is still cool.

11.Acoustic guitar

Yes you can actually print off a 3D acoustic guitar and it is going to work. How it manages to get the acoustics part right is a mystery, but it does allow you to play a tune even though it may not be the best guitar you have ever held in your life.

12.Car model

You have to admit that it would be cool to create a car model out of a 3D printer. However, this kind of thing does require so many parts that it would be very expensive, but thanks to the technology that is out there now at least this is possible.
