1.Keep healthy

The main thing you can do in order to reduce the chances of hair loss is to try to stay as healthy as possible. Eat right, exercise, sleep well, do not get stressed, and generally take good care of yourself and you will see that being reflected in your quality of your hair.

Sadly medications can make a difference to your hair because so many of them will have side-effects, but of course you can do nothing about it unless you simply try to take a different type of medicine. If you are concerned about this do consider talking to your doctor as they may be able to give you something else that does not do this to your hair.

3.Avoid blow drying

Blow drying too often damages hair as the heat can slowly break it down and make it a lot weaker than it actually should be. This is something that can lead to your hair becoming thinner even if you do not end up that bald from it, so consider allowing nature to dry it rather than resorting to that hairdryer on a regular basis.

Everybody knows that stress can cause major issues when it comes to your hair as we know that it can eventually lead to us losing it in huge clumps. Stress induced alopecia is something that is actually quite common and can effect both men and women, so reduce those stress levels and keep your hair looking nice and healthy.

5.Stop smoking

Believe it or not, smoking can actually induce alopecia in some people although who it hits and why is still something that we are not sure about. However, it makes sense that if you stop smoking, then you never have to worry about that happening to you, so that is a good enough reason to put down that lighter.

6.Avoid alcohol

If you drink a lot of alcohol you are going to be reducing the amount of iron that is in your body and this, in turn, can lead to you suffering hair loss. Iron is something that you really do need to keep your hair healthy, so by simply avoiding alcohol you can reduce the chances of ending up going bald.

7.Green tea

Green tea tackles free radicals and the beauty of this is that they can have a detrimental effect on the health of your hair. It stands to reason that by tackling them and inhibiting their ability to damage your body it means your hair will benefit as a result. So drink green tea and it could help you to keep a full head of hair.

8.Stay hydrated

Your hair needs you to be hydrated as much as the rest of your body, so get drinking those eight glasses a day and your hair will look so much better as a result. This is all tied in with your overall health as it is going to have a direct impact on the quality of your hair.

9.Wet hair

Avoid brushing wet hair because this is actually going to damage it especially when you do it on a regular basis. This is something that is often quite surprising to people because even hairdressers will do it, but if you do need to brush it, then do so gently in order to lessen the damage.

Your hair needs protein in order to stay healthy, so make sure that you get it either through food or some other supplement or your hair will become weak and break as a result. It is easy enough to incorporate some into your diet and you do not even have to take a lot of it to make a difference with your hair.

To prevent hair loss you need to consider taking Vitamin A, B, and E on a regular basis. You need to remember that your hair is alive, so it needs the correct nutrients in order to stay healthy, so if you suffer from certain vitamin deficiencies, then it stands to reason that your hair will suffer as well.

12.Mild shampoo

One of the best things that you can do is to only use mild shampoo. If you use stuff that is going to be too harsh, then it stands to reason that your hair is going to become damaged as it is being hit by chemicals that it simply cannot deal with. Mild shampoo will still get it clean, so do not worry about that either.
