All parents are awesome, but they differ a lot when it comes to showing their coolness. No doubt, your childhood was awesome, but do you remember those moments when your parents made you overwhelmed, by doing an awesome thing? We have fifteen people here who shared that one cool thing their parents did.
1.Dad Buys His 12 Year Old Kid a Playboy Magazine
I was 12 years old at summer camp and I asked dad for some junk food and a Playboy. A few days later I received a box full of cookies, chips, candy and sitting on top was the latest issue of Playboy. It made me cabin hero!
2.This Cool Former NFL Player Dad
My dad was my high school football coach. He filled his coaching staff with friends and they were all ex NFL players. Turns out my dad played for the Buccs and never told me.
3.The Courageous Mother
When I was 7 there was a big dog in the neighborhood. I don't remember what kind but it had a huge teeth. One day it came off its leash and came running at me. My mom reared back and punched that dog straight in the nose.
4.And This Cop Mom
My mom was a cop, and I was at the in town with my friends. I saw my mom, talking to some large man by her squad car. Next thing I knew she spun the guy around and slammed him onto the hood and cuffed him. My mom was a badass.
5.This Dad
When I was 18, Dad got home from work about an hour early, while my boyfriend and I were getting down and dirty. He knocked on my bedroom door and said he needed to speak with me. I asked him to give me about 20 minutes, he laughed and said sure. When I went out to the garage to pour my heart out with an apology, he cut me off and asked if I had any bud. Mom was out of town and he just wanted to get lit.
6.The Dad Who Didn't Panic Upon Seeing a Snake
I seen a 3 feet long snake slither up my father's leg and with no hesitation or worry in the world he grabbed a hoe from the garage and chopped the head off.
7.When Mom Destroyed a Huge Spider
Right after my parents split, there was this ENORMOUS, scary as f*ck spider in the house. My mom grabbed a broom and violently beat it to death while screaming "I need no man to kill my bugs!"

8.This Dad Who Saved a Drowning Boy
My father saved a young boy from drowning. I remember him yelling at me "STAY RIGHT HERE" because I was probably only about 7 years old.
Their family was incredibly thankful, although they didn't speak English and we didn't speak Spanish so it was sort of an awkward celebration after.
9.And This Interesting Incident
My dad took me to the old met stadium in Minneapolis, where the Twins and Vikings played prior to the Metrodome. They were tearing it down and he drove right up to the site, walked us in and told us to grab seats and bricks and put them in the truck. He said they were tearing it down to build 'some mall'. That mall is the Mall of America.

10.The Dad Who Saved a Cop
We were leaving a Yankee game and there was a four man brawl going outside the stadium. A cop was in the middle of it getting his ass kicked. My dad pushed his way through the crowd and started throwing punches and eventually helped the cop gain control of the situation. He was also piss drunk during the whole ordeal.
11.The Kind of Dad Everyone Wants to Have
My dad pulled me out of school one day to watch them blow up Texas Stadium (Texas Stadium implosion), where the Cowboys played.

My dad chaperoned my middle school dance and played lookout while I hooked up with my date behind the bleachers.

During a sedate day at the office, an Eminem song came on the radio, and my mother, 50+, busted out loudly with the lyrics and nailed them, every word.
15.The Dad Who Brought a 1000lb Wild Horse Down
A horse reared up and kicked my pops square between the eyes. Drops him like a rock. I see his glazed over eyes snap into focus and his face transitions into a vicious Spartan war cry. In a blink, the 135lb man springs to his feet, flew at the horse, and drills the 1000lb buckskin with a straight right to the nose. Eyes wide and blood dripping from both the nostrils, the horse backs up looking at my dad like death is staring him in the face. Horse was scared shitless. My 135lb dad won a fight with a 1000lb horse.
