1.Cast Members, not Employees
Employees, irrespective of the roles, are being called ‘cast members’ at Disney. From janitors, ride operators to princesses, all those who work for Disney are actually the cast members.
2.The Employees Never Point at Something with One Finger
Another interesting thing you will find at Disneyland is, all the cast members there will use two fingers or palm to show you the directions. They never ever point at something with one finger, because it is considered offensive.

3.Employees Talk Codes
When two Disney employees talk to each other, we will wonder what on earth are they actually talking! Like in many workplaces, Disney employees too use some code words to communicate. They call the same thing as ‘protein spill’ what we call a puke!

4.They are Trained to Give the Same Autographs Every Time
Disney employees are thoroughly trained to sign as the character they are playing. As the same character is being played by the multiple cast members, autographs given by them will look the same.

They need to answer all the questions of queries of the guests. Even if the employees do not have the answer, it is still their responsibility to contact the operator on behalf of the guest for help.

6.Employees Keep an Eye on Lone Wandering Kids
If Disney employees find kids without their parents nearby, they keep an eye on them, until they reunite with their parents. The employees will not speak to the kids unless they look worried. If kids remain alone for more than fifteen minutes, the cast members alert the other cast members about a possible lost kid/parent incident.

Disney creator Walt Disney preferred people calling him by his first name Walt Disney. This is why you see the cast members who are working for Disney are being called by their first names. If two employees have the same name, one of them have to pick a new name!

Ever wondered why the Disneyland looks so clean? Apart from the janitors, all the employees of Disney were asked to keep the place clean by picking up whatever trash they get to see. However, the employees should not bend to pick up the trash, but need to do it in a ‘scoop’ motion to pick it up.

10.Disney sets Some Physical Rules to Qualify as an Actor/Artist
Becoming a princess at Disney is not an easy thing! The company looks for so much in a person to be able to qualify for a prince or princess role. For example, a princess needs to be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall, to a maximum of 5 feet 8 inches.
11.No Body Modifications Allowed
Disney doesn’t let its employees to go through any kind of body modifications like piercings or tattoos. All the Disney cast members are banned from having tattoos, body piercings, earlobe expansions, and skin implants.

Disney maintains a strict appearance policy to all of its employees, which the company calls as ‘the Disney look’. As per the rule, all the male employees need to keep their hair neat by proportionately cutting the back and side hair so it does not touch the hair or the shirt collar. All the women should have an easy to maintain ‘classic’ hairstyle. Both the male and female employees should cut their nails to a specified size.
