In 1987 we met two of the most unlikely partners on the police force. Mel Gibson stars at Martin Riggs, a suicidal, insane cop who is partners with veteran detective, Roger Murtaugh played by Danny Glover. Riggs is a loose canon and his way of doing this makes for car chases, stand offs and gun fights, in a way that Glover's cop has never seen.
