July once again proved to be a lucky month for Will Smith when the movie Men In Black (MIB) hit theaters. MIB is one of Smith's most successful movies ever. Initially Smith was not going to accept the role, but his wife, Jada, convinced him to do it. The sci-fi thriller went on to earn $589,390,539 at the box office. Smith pulled double duty with MIB by acting and supplying the movie with a smash-hit theme song. In 1996, Men in Black won the Academy Award for Best Makeup. So far, the movie has spawned two sequels.
