1.Your Pilots are Sleeping Most of the Time
According a to a recent study conducted on pilots, half of them have confessed to falling asleep involuntarily while flying, while one third of them confessed they wake up to find their co-pilot asleep. Pilots are human beings as well. We all feel sleepy at work, don’t we?

2.Oxygen Masks in Flights Work Only for 15 Minutes
Did you know that oxygen masks in flights work only for 15 minutes from the time they are pulled down? In most cases, this 15 minutes time is more than enough time for the pilot to bring the flight down to an altitude where you can breathe normally again. You have to act fast to put an oxygen mask down in higher altitude. You will only have 15 to 20 seconds before passing out completely due to lack of oxygen supply to the body.

3.Your Flight May be Carrying Dead Bodies or Human Organs
In case if you didn’t know this, regular flights carry dead bodies, organs and other human remains in cargo space. However airlines have strict ‘packing’ policies that should lessen your worry a little.

4.You Can’t, but Flight Attendants Can Text
Can you guess what flight attendants do after asking everyone onboard to switch their phones and other electronics off? They will quietly walk into their cabins and start texting. One or two electronic devices don’t cause any harm to the navigational devices in the cockpit, apparently. We can only hope. This was confessed by none other than flight attendants themselves.

5.A Pilot is More Powerful than You Think
A pilot has endless authority when the flight is in mid-air. A pilot can arrest passengers, write fines, or even take the will of a dying passenger. A pilot can refuse unruly passengers at the jet way, and can fly without them, if he/she wishes.

6.Never Drink Water on a Plane if It is Not Bottled
This confession was made by a former Lufthansa cargo agent. He advised us not to drink or even touch water in an airplane if it had not been bottled. He said that ports to purge lavatory crap and ports to refill the aircraft with potable water are located alarmingly close to one other, and at times they are serviced at the same time.

7.Airplane Water Storage Tanks are Hardly Cleaned
This confession also came from an employee of a popular airline. He said that the storage tanks used to store water are not cleaned frequently. As per our source, these water storage tanks contain green slime that is inches thick. Also the water is filled in different cities or countries, so there is no guarantee that the filled water is clean either.

8.Lavatories in Airplanes are Not Completely Locked
Airplane lavatories can be unlocked from the outside, with a special lock opening mechanism concealed under no smoking or similar badges. So, you can never really lock yourself in an airplane lavatory.

9.You Should Never See How Your Luggage is Treated
In another confession, an airline employee said most of the time they don’t care what’s written on your luggage except for an ‘I heart baggage handlers’ tag. They are going throw that fragile bag, or keep bags upside down that are not supposed to be upside down. Baggage handlers have to fit 100+ bags and freight.

10.SomeTimes Those Hard Landings are Intentional
Next time when you experience a hard landing, don’t think the pilot is unskilled or the airbus had problems. According to a pilot confession, sometimes pilots intentionally make hard landings, especially on rainy days. Pilots do this to prevent airplanes skidding on a wet runway.
