Entering into the world records books isn't as difficult as you may think. A world record means nothing but achieving something that no other person in the planet had did it before. In the beginning, world records were strictly limited to body oddities, sports achievements etc. These days anyone's name can get into the world records books by doing something rare that hasn't done before. You just need to find those ideas that help you stand out. For example, you may achieve a world record if you can somehow manage to wear as many underpants as you can! Simply post as many status messages as possible on your Facebook wall, and be featured in a world record for posting most number of Facebook messages in a minute or less. Or �" try making a world's biggest food, like a fried egg or something. As we said earlier, it's about ideas. Hey, check these fifteen craziest world records for more ideas!
1.Coconut orchestra
As a kid you probably loved playing with coconut shells as an instrument, but here is an attempt to have the biggest coconut orchestra in the world. This was actually done in conjunction with the Monty Python play "Spamalot" due to them being used to replicate the sound of horses in the movie. If they all did it in unison you can only imagine the noise that would have been made by adults simply bashing together coconuts.
2.Longest legs
This woman actually does have the longest legs in the world as they measure an amazing 52 inches. The only surprise here is that they look longer and it must be difficult sitting in cars and then getting out of them as her feet exit and it takes a minute before even her hips appear out of the vehicle. The top half of her body actually looks quite short, so she is a reverse cartoon figure.
3.People in pants
116 people turned up at this train station in London to set a new record for people in just their underwear. It was all done to help raise awareness for charity, so at least there was a good reason for it and not just a group of people deciding that they wanted to walk around London in their pants. How much they raised is unknown, but they got their name in the record books.
4.Snails on face
Yep those are snails on a face and it was an attempt at setting a new world record although why you would want to do this simply cannot be answered. This face belongs to an 11 year old kid and they had 43 of them on their face at the one time. A kid should be playing outside or doing sports and not sitting with their head in a bucket sticking snails all over them, get a grip kid and leave the snails alone!
5.Santa elves
The entire idea behind this world record attempt was to get as many Santa elves together as possible in the one place and they did manage to do this by getting an amazing 607 of them. At least they made sure that their uniform was identical and it does look like some fun even though it is a rather peculiar thing to want to do just to get a world record.
6.Tattoo woman
There is basically not a since space on the body of this woman that does not have a tattoo on it as the record shows she has 95% coverage and it is difficult to see where the other 5% is. She has been having them done over 20 years and has a real mixture of artwork on her body, but why so much? Surely at some point people should have said that was enough?
7.Largest shoe
This shoe was made in Turkey and it measures 5.5m long, is 2.2m wide, and finally 1.8m in height so it really is the biggest shoe in the world. However, it is also worth mentioning that 30 people can get inside it although why you would want to do that is unknown. It clearly took a lot of skill to make this, but why anybody would want to go and beat it now is a mystery.

8.Long ears
This is one of the craziest, but in a way cutest, world records out there as it involves the longest ears on a dog. This bloodhound called Harvey has ears that are 14 inches long, although they do look longer, and you just know that they are going to droop by his side and do absolutely nothing apart from look like a couple of massive sails.
9.Most pierced woman
With over 1900 piercings you can see how this woman can lay claim to this particular world record. It is difficult to imagine where they all are across her body, but be grateful that it is only a photograph of her head that is available here. How does she wash? How does she take care of her skin? How does she get through an airport without it going crazy?

10.Buried alive
At what point do you start to wish you were buried alive and then turn it into a record attempt? This guy had those thoughts, but he did something about it by being buried alive in a specially designed coffin for 10 days. He was given air, but he had no food or water with him and he smashed the previous record as that was only at four days.
11.Dogs in costumes
We know that some people love dressing their dogs in costumes, but this was a world record attempt where they tried to get as many dogs in costumes as possible at the one location. The record they set was 426 and you just know that there would have been so many weird and wacky outfits that would have just looked silly on a dog. However, the owners would have had fun, so for them that would be the main thing even though their dog looked mad.

12.Eye-popping
This is going to turn your stomach as it is the world record for popping your eyeballs out of your head and as you see here it really is eye-opening stuff. This guy can pop them 0.3 inches out of his head and apparently it does not hurt him, but it still looks scary and it actually looks further than 0.3 inches in all honesty.
13.Sauna nationalities
This shows that you can have a record for anything as this simply involves trying to get as many nationalities as possible into a single sauna. As you see they all wore tops with their flag on it and in actual fact they managed to get 90 nationalities in there beating the previous record by almost 20 people. Well done to the sauna lovers.
14.Old wing walker
The record for the oldest wing walker is now held by somebody who is 90 years old. This takes a lot of guts and nerves of steel at any age never mind when you are 90. How he managed to do it is a complete mystery, but fair play to him for giving it a go and getting into the record books.
15.Most high kicks
This record is the most high kicks by a chorus line and it was at the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris. The record was 450, but they got up to 720 smashing the old record. This meant that each woman had to do 30 high kicks before collapsing in a heap and it is actually a lot harder than you think, so 720 is a difficult record to beat.
