Meditating in the dark is both relaxing and productive. Sometimes a person can drift into meditation due to the lights being off. Your mind is much more clear and open when you meditate with absolutely no foreign objects interrupting your tranquil moment. Since there's not much else to you might as well become one with your own thoughts.
