Daboias are found in the Indian subcontinent. It's one of four snakes in the region that inflicts the most snakebites. These snakes have one of the most lethal types of venom, with an LD50 of 0.03. Daboia is also one of the species responsible for causing the most snakebite incidents and deaths.They primarily feast on rodents, so they are known to dwell wherever they can find mice, which means NYC should be overrun by this species.
