2.Sleep patterns

Make sure that you sleep in a normal pattern, so that means getting between six and eight hours a day every single day. By upsetting your sleep pattern you will throw your hormones into disarray, so it makes sense to get back into the swing of things with the time that you go to bed and when you wake up in order to regulate your periods.

3.Green tea

Green tea has so many amazing attributes to it that it should come as no surprise to find out that it can also help with those irregular periods. Think about adding in some honey as well just to give yourself that extra boost and consider drinking it for a total of three cycles to get things back on track.

4.Yoga

There are actually a number of yoga poses out there that claim they can help with the menstrual cycle. In actual fact some women absolutely swear by them and you certainly have nothing to lose by giving them a go as the poses are mainly for beginners rather than those that are very flexible.

5.Exercise

Look at doing some gentle exercise on a regular basis because just sitting around will do nothing for your menstrual cycle. You do not have to become an absolute gym buff, but by getting your heart rate up a bit a few times a week either walking or swimming will do wonders for those irregular periods.

6.Fig juice

Drink some concentrated fig juice on a semi-regular basis in order to get your periods back on track. This juice is crammed full of all kinds of goodness and by rights you should start to feel the benefit pretty much straight away.

7.Aloe vera

By either taking the pulp or drinking the juice you can hopefully start to feel a difference. It does of course have a number of healing properties, but by including this in your diet it will lead to your menstrual cycle becoming far more regular.

8.Grapes

Eating grapes, or even drinking grape juice, on a daily basis is going to make a real difference when it comes to your periods. The problem here is in making sure that you do not take too much of it or you may find yourself unable to move too far away from the loo as they can have a bit of a laxative effect.

9.Fennel seeds

Fennel seeds do seem to be capable of helping with all kinds of things that are health related and irregular periods are no different. Eat them on a regular basis and some of the nutrients that appear in them will work wonders for your cycle.

10.Unripe green papaya

If you can get your hands on it, then consider eating some unripe green papaya. For some strange reason a number of women have reported that it somehow managed to regulate their periods again as well as deal with a number of other issues related to menstruation.

11.Herbal supplements

Consider using something such as Macafem as a herbal supplement as this will help to regulate your hormones and, in turn, make your periods far more consistent. Make sure that it is natural as it will simply encourage your body to do what it is meant to do rather than being forced to produce hormones due to chemicals.

12.Your diet

What you eat and drink can have a major impact on your periods and can throw them out of sync. Cut back on deep fried foods, limit caffeine, and reduce sugar consumption and do make sure that you eat on a regular basis and avoid skipping meals.
