For some reason the fact that Australia is listed here will not come as a surprise because it is well known for its quality of life and the people that live there generally being some of the happiest in the world. It has sun, it has sea, it has a good healthcare system, it is safe, there is work, and ultimately there are so many positives about this country as a whole that it would be a shame if it was not included.




2.Austria

Austria is pretty much included thanks to Vienna as this is a city where the crime rate is virtually at zero, it is safe, economically it is a country that works and is not mired in corruption like others, and basically the people are happy to live there. When you combine this with good jobs, good salaries, and a good balance between work and leisure, then it is clear why Austria is included.

The reason why the Netherlands is on this list is because it manages to strike almost a perfect balance between work and leisure resulting in the Dutch being one of the most laid back and relaxed people in the world. People expect to have a high standard of living, they have good healthcare, workers are looked after at different times, and overall it is just a nice place to live.

Sweden is a country that is one of the most competitive economically and it is also ranked very highly in the list of best countries to work in as well. It is seen as being an honest country, the public and private sectors are well established, and the health care system is also very efficient with you getting treatment quickly. Overall this is a country where you will feel safe at all times and as long as you can put up with the winter, then it really is one of the best places to live.

Germany is a great place to live as the economy is very stable even in the recession and the average working week is under 30 hours a week, but it is still seen as being one of the best places to work in the entire world. Its infrastructure and transport networks are also second to none, so this is a country that is extremely efficient and things get done on time and get done well.

Norway is an expensive country, but apart from that it is ranked as one of the best countries to work in and it knows how to look after both parents after a child has been born as well. France features highly on this list and you can kind of understand why if you even just go there for a vacation. The food is outstanding, but the main reason is that it is one of the best countries to work in. The reason for this is that you get more paid days off in this country than anywhere else in the world, oh and the French love a good strike if anything goes wrong.
