The world may look like it is a small place because of the technological advancements we have today, but it is actually huge. Our planet is 4.5 billion years old, and we have millions of species of animals, birds, reptiles, bugs, etc. living here. We see and use many things in our lives, but most of us don't know how they are made, or how they really work. The reality around us is larger than we can imagine. Here are fifteen interesting facts that almost sound fake, but are actually true.
1.Ant Population
Here is a bonus fact, the total human population on earth is about 7.3 billion. Can you guess how many numbers of Spiders live on this planet? 3,500 TRILLION!
2.This Surprise Shark Fact
The number of people who were killed by sharks is very less. From the 15th century to the current day, only 548 people were killed by sharks.
3.France Used Guillotine Until It Abolished Capital Punishment in 1981
Guillotine is mechanical beheading equipment used by France to carry out executions by beheading. The last man to die on a guillotine was Hamida Djandoubi in 1977.
4.Ships are Huge
Unless you live near an ocean or sea, you don't get the opportunity to see some of the biggest ships. When there are ships that measure about half a kilometer in length (0.3 miles), you would expect them to pollute the air in a big way.
