Lays is one of the most popular brand of potato chip on the market. Manufactured by the Frito-Lay Company, founded by Herman Lay, the company was founded in 1932 in Dorset, Ohio in 1932. It wasn't until 1961, when Mr. Lay merged with Elmer Doolin, the
founder of Frito, in 1961. The new company, Frito Lay went on to become one of the largest snack food manufacturers in the country.
