1.Buddhism
It is perhaps no surprise to find out that when it comes to Buddhism, they take a less violent way of the world being created, so there is no sense of a massive explosion resulting in us existing. Instead, they have no real thoughts on it as it is their belief that the universe and life has no beginning or end, so if that is the case why would there be a beginning with the universe? Got it?
2.Scientology
As you might expect, Scientology takes quite a sci-fi point of view here as they talk about the theory of Theta, which means the spirit or life force, coming together with Mest, which means matter with energy, space and time, and bang there we have the universe.
3.Korean
The Korean approach is certainly very different to anything else you will hear. Basically, they believe that God came down and was fed up of controlling the weather and wanted some peace. However, a tiger and a bear asked him to turn them into humans. They had to live in a cave for 100 days and only the bear managed it before turning into a woman and the God marrying her.
4.Hindu
The Hindu belief is that the universe dies and is reborn a number of times and they certainly do not panic about it. However, the time scale is vast as they believe that the God Brahma creates the universe in his dreams, but he sleeps for over 8 billion years before it starts again.
5.Islam
Islam tends to go along the lines of believing the idea of the big bang theory and there are hints of it in the Quran although you will also recognize a lot of the Christian belief in there as well. They talk about it taking six days to create and basically every matter was together until God gave the go ahead and blew everything wide open into the universe.
6.Big bang theory
This is perhaps the big theory that most people are aware of outside of what different religions believe. It is all linked to the idea of a huge explosion of energy billions of years ago that resulted in mass and all of the building blocks of life being thrown around. It then takes billions of years to settle down resulting in what we have today.
7.Christian
We all know the Christian story of it taking six days and it was all due to God and indeed that is the belief that is held by the biggest number of people in the world. If you want to read about it, then head over to Genesis to get the full story.

8.Scandinavia
In Scandinavia there is a common belief that there used to just be chaos in the universe and mixed in there were Gods and humans. A giant tree burst through the universe and in its roots was the ability to have wisdom leading to where we are today.
9.African
African beliefs about how the universe was created can vary slightly, but it all tends to involve bits of nature coming together to form what we now know as the universe. Some will talk about the universe being molded out of mud, others will talk about a great force by a divine being, and others still form the idea of water being pulled apart leading to the earth appearing and a plant growing. These beliefs still exist today.

10.Babylonian
The Babylonian belief is pretty much the same as the Sumerian one, but then that is no surprise as they both existed in the same part of the world, modern day Iraq. What this shows is that at one point in history a huge part of the known population of the world all believed the same thing just like today with the Genesis idea.
11.Sumerian
The Sumerians are the oldest culture in the world and they believed that there was a heaven and earth, but it was all created by a divine being, although they did believe in more than one God. The world was in chaos, so this divine being had to restore order resulting in primordial waters being separated and the earth being formed.

12.Egypt
The ancient Egyptians believed that the universe was created out of primordial chaos thanks to the God Nun. She was basically water and out of the water land appeared resulting in what we now know as Egypt. However, this was clearly influenced by the way in which the river Nile flooded and brought life each year to the country.
