Marshall Harvey Twitchell, born in 1840, was a Union Army soldier from Vermont. He became a Republican state senator from Red River Parish in northwestern Louisiana during the era of Reconstruction. He was a rich person and had a net worth of $100,000 in the early 20th century. Note, $100,000 net worth was a big thing in the 19th century.
