Food Wastage And Poverty

Every year, approximately 1.3 billion tons of food gets wasted throughout the world. Net food production of sub-Saharan African countries is about 230 million tons a year. Few rich countries alone waste about 220 million tons of food a year.  We waste a huge portion of our food in one part of the world while there are tens of thousands of people dying of hunger in other parts of the world.
