The Nissan Altima is more popular with thieves than the Maxima. The reason is the parts. The Maxima is a more upscale car than the Altima, but Altima has more parts that thieves want. With more than 9,000 thefts in 2012, the numbers speak volumes about which care is more appealing to a car thief.
