Google In Braille

Tuesday, Oct 8, 2013, 6:06 pm

This Google Doodle looks like those infamous Button candies, but the meaning behind this is much sweeter. This doodle was used to celebrate the 197th birthday of Louis Braille - the man responsible for creating the embossed-point alphabet for the blind and visually impaired. The dots spell out the word 'GOOGLE' in braille form. This Google Doodle appeared on the search engine's homepage on January 4, 2006. Of course this doodle doesn't have the same effect as braille, but it's a nice gesture nonetheless.
