Lencois Maranhenses Desert - Brasil

A desert in a country known for containing the largest rain forest in the world, this desert is located on the north shore of Brazil in the State of Maranhao. With white dunes and blue lagoons, it is one of the prettiest deserts you might ever lay your eyes on. The lagoons are created by rainfall, reported to be at least three hundred times more than the Sahara Desert.
