Salar De Uyuni Desert - Bolivia

This massive salt desert sits in the middle of the Altiplano, in Bolivia. A unique desert that mirrors the sky on its flat surface, it used to be part of Lake Minchin over 40,000 years ago. The prehistoric lake dried up, leaving two salt deserts and two modern lakes. Salar de Uyuni is the bigger of the two deserts, and contains 10 billions tons of salt.
