Well it seems Popeye was onto something. He ate his spinach to grow muscles, but he must have had great skin too, because spinach contains folate that helps repair skin cells. Folate helps cells to renew themselves, which reduces the chance of cancer cells growing. Spinach contains lots of water which plumps the skin, making it appear less wrinkled.
