Most Amazing Dog-Shaped Cakes

1.Dazed Dog Cake

This dog is in some sort of weird trance. His 'tired' look makes you want to pet him and give him doggy treats. The dog looks so real that it seems more like a taxidermy project, as opposed to a cake. The black shading around his nose and eyes give both features a three-dimensional look that isn't easy to achieve.

2.Tilted Dog Cake

This little pup cake will warm your heart. The dog's tilted head and puppy dog eyes are adorable. The dog appears to have a sad demeanor. The overall quality of this cake is great, but the dog's poor hind legs look mangled and broken, while his front legs look fat.

3.White Dog Cake

This dog is just waiting for you to eat him. The dog's body is typical and doesn't really catch your eye because it's just white icing made into fur. His face, however, is stellar. The cake maker was able to make both his eyes and nose shimmer, giving it a life-like appeal.

4.Joey The Dog Cake

The 'Papa' that received this cake is one lucky guy. Elisa Strauss of Confetti Cakes created this amazing life-sizeversion of her father's dog, Joey. The cake was presented to her father for his 60th birthday.The cake, much like the real dog, is absolutely adorable.This cake was created using vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream icing.

5.Dog Head Cake

This dog cake is a thing of beauty. If you didn't know any better, you'd think this was a real-life dog that had his head chopped off. The overall structure is amazing and his eyes appear to be staring off into the distance. This cake would have been a masterpiece If the baker had created the dog's body as well.

6.Playful Dog

This dog has so much personality and he's not even real. It's a rarity to see a dog smile, so it's funny to see this dog doing it. Although this dog's coat is black, the baker created his fur in a way that doesn't make him look flat. In fact he looks just like a real dog, just in cake form.

7.sh!tzu Cake

This wonderful creation was done by cake maker Karen Portaleo. This cake tastes just as good as it looks. This dog cake looks like a cross between a Shih Tzuand Gizmo from The Gremlins. The cake was made so well that you can just marvel at it for hours. Of course you want to eat it, but you'd feel bad afterwards.

8.Yorkie Cake

You can't put this Yorkie in your purse, but you can certainly put him in your tummy. The artist even gave this little pup some sass by giving her a matching pink collar and hair bow. The hair texture on a Yorkie's face tends to be different from its body and the maker of this cake did a great job capturing that.

9.Cheerleader Dog Cake

Dogs do act like your own personal cheerleader, so why not have some fun and poke fun at that. This cake designer opted to build a dog cake donning a cheerleading outfit. The odd thing about this cake is that the dog's waistline is in better shape than a lot of women out there.

10.Hound Dog Cake

You won't see this life-sized hound dog crying. This beautiful cake was created by Michelle Wibowo. If you think this cake looks like it took a long time to make, then your assessment would be correct. It took Wibowo four days and 44 pounds of sugar paste to make this dog cake. And you guessed it; Wibowo drew inspiration from Elvis' song, "You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog."

11.Bulldog Cake

This bulldog has a face only a mother could love. The poor dog looks like he's either hungry or severely depressed. The artist did an amazing job of capturing the breed. Even the pup's twinkling eyes mimic the feature bulldogs are known to have. The cake maker did forget to add some hints of drool on his doggy lips.

12.Chihuahua Cake

This Chihuahua does not want Taco Bell. This adorable Chihuahua cake is perfect for the individual who loves to travel abroad. His eyes look demon-like, but Chihuahuas are known to grate your nerves every now and then.He is cute, even though his striped shirt does make him appear as though he belongs in a jail cell.
