Glad, you are now a grown up! Most parents hate anime because they think anime shows are nothing but a bunch of adult shows disguised as children cartoons. Firstly, anime is not a cartoon. Secondly, anime is not exclusively meant for kids. It is just like any TV show, and as a parent, if you are skeptical about inappropriate content on anime shows, you just need to notice the show's rating. Only G and PG rated anime shows are child-friendly. Interestingly, when you tell your non-anime friends that you watch "Shingeki no Kyojin" a.k.a. "Attack on Titan," they just visualize the bottom part of the meme, not the upper one! Do you agree?
