Only when we witness brilliant artworks like these, we realize how amazing our human race is! Art has no boundaries. People keep inventing new ways to display their flair for art. Toothpick modeling is one such unique form of art where artists create unbelievable and incredibly big structures using nothing more significant than plain toothpicks. It is a modern art, and it's something that's very hard to learn or master. One needs to have a lot of patience to create beautiful structures with toothpicks. Take a look at the 12 intricate and creative toothpick art models that are sure to blow your mind!
1.Taj Mahal

You will have no problem in identifying this model since it clearly shows the Taj Mahal and once again the detail in it really is second to none. As soon as you set eyes on it you are instantly transported back to the site itself and you can almost feel the heat of India along with the bright sunshine on your back. The scale is perfect, the towers are perfect, and overall this is one breathtaking model.

2.Buildings

The reason behind this photograph is just to show a set at a model exhibition and all of the buildings here were the work of just one artist. Apparently this display used 151 liters of glue and three million toothpicks and you can kind of understand why when you look at the number of buildings and the detail in them.

3.Eiffel Tower

OK so this image does not show the Eiffel Tower completed, but it does show you some of the detail in the model as well as give you an idea as to how they manage to build these models in the first place. It also allows you to see how steady a hand you need in order to do this kind of work because surely one small slip could lead to an absolute disaster?

4.The Vatican

With this model you can almost find yourself waiting for the Pope to appear at his window and give a sermon. It is actually better that the artist went for the square and the most famous building only because it would have probably become too messy trying to pick out all of the different buildings that actually surround this scene. Selective art clearly works.

5.Tower Bridge

This is of course Tower Bridge in London, but then you would have known that within the first few seconds with which you glanced at the image. It is cool how the artist has managed to capture it even as the bridge part is elevated because surely that would have been even harder to build with the model? An absolutely amazing model.

6.Lotus temple

The Lotus temple is in Delhi and once again you are able to instantly recognize it if you have seen the real thing before. The way that the artist has managed to capture the curves and arches that do exist there is amazing and shows real skill with something as simple as a toothpick, but as with all of the others you wonder how many toothpicks are used and how long it took.

7.Mecca

This model represents the mosque in Mecca and once again the detail really is outstanding. The artist has managed to incorporate everything about the building and it does just give you some kind of an idea about the scale of the mosque when you see every detail about it. You can almost hear the call to prayer when you look at it.

8.Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is a temple in Cambodia and the site itself is massive. That partly explains why this toothpick model is as big as it is and you cannot help but admire the work that has gone into its creation. As long as you have seen the site before you will instantly recognize it and that tells you how good it is when there is no need to ask questions.

9.Barcelona

This apparently took 9 months to create and it represents one of the most famous buildings in Barcelona the Sagrada Familia. Quite simply you do not know where to look on this model as every single piece has something going on and you can instantly understand why it took so long for them to build it and the fact that they were so patient really does say so much about them.

10.Cathedral

The best part about this model is being able to see the cathedral that it represents in the background. This makes it so much easier to compare it to the real thing and you can then fully appreciate the work that has gone into making it. You wonder how fragile this model must be especially with the towers and how distraught the creator would be if somebody damaged his amazing work.

11.Mermaid

Once again the detail in this mermaid is outstanding as even every single bit of hair has been made using toothpicks. Indeed it is the hair that really makes this stand out from other models you will see because that must have been absolutely painstaking to do and you wonder how they would have the patience just to do that part never mind anything else.

12.Brooklyn Bridge

There is so much going on in this toothpick model that it is actually quite difficult to know where to start. It is based on Brooklyn Bridge and the eye for detail really is outstanding and you can only imagine how long this model took to build. It gets a balance between adding just enough detail to make it interesting, but not enough that it is too over the top and taking too long to build.
