Imagine walking a street that is 2000 years old and was once a hive of activity. The street was the main street in Pompeii until Mount Vesuvius exploded in 79AD covering the entire city in ash killing everyone. Now it is just a testimony to the building skills of the Romans but many still walk the street today as tourists.

If you are looking for a cool atmosphere and festive spirit you will certainly find it on the Vila De Gracia in Spain. During the month of August is the Festa Major which hosts some of the best bands around. The street is decorated with such color and fun that you hardly wish to leave there.

This is the only street in the United Kingdom where you are required to drive on the right hand side. The whole of England drives normally on the left hand side. This street is famous for the very exclusive Savoy Hotel in London and the right hand tradition was started as a result of carriages entering streets in the last century. The hotel was even exclusive then and the carriages had right hand access in order to open their door without the taxi driver leaving his seat. The doors opened backwards.
7.The Pink Street in Lisbon, Portugal
This vibrant street is a 24 hour art centre which adds life and color to the streets of Lisbon. The idea to create an arty street was Jose Adriao's in conjunction with Lisbon's City Council. There are artworks lining the streets and the hope is to create a hub of artistic expression and beauty.

8.Geometric Streets in Vercorin, Switzerland
The quaint and pretty street of Vercorin in Switzerland is also known as a favorite ski town. Every year the village invites artists to come and add some artwork.
