1.Six Flags Great Adventure
Six Flags Adventure in New Jersey is a 165 acre amusement park that sits adjacent to its 510 acre Wild Safari Animal Park. Each year the park hosts Fright Fest during Halloween season, where the park is revamped at night into a haunted and eerie place. During the day, the visitors enjoy the many attractions, including Superman: Ultimate Fight, a flying roller coaster.
2.Adventure Aquarium
Adventure Aquarium, located in Camden New Jersey, is situated on the Delaware River and is home to over 8,000 animals. One of the main attractions is the Irazu River Falls, a thirty foot tall waterfall into a coral reef tank. This tropical exhibit contains an array of diverse animals in a tranquil setting.
3.Jersey Shore Beach
The Jersey Shore has gotten a lot of publicity in the past years, due largely, in part, to the hit reality television show of the same name. However, when Hurricane Sandy destroyed most of the famous boardwalk, and then a fire ravaged it once again in September of 2013, the country rallied to restore one of the east coast's most loved destinations.
4.MetLife Stadium
MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey is home to the New York Giants and the New York Jets. It's the only National Football League Stadium that is shared by two teams. It's trademark is its outer aluminum louvers that change color as the interior lights switch colors, from blue, when the Giants play, to green for the Jets.
5.Ellis Island
It's the first thing immigrants see when they come to America. The grand Statue of Liberty welcoming them to our shores. Ellis Island is humbling to visit, just a short ferry ride from the city. Tourists and locals alike, get a chance to see a true symbol of this great country, and learn more about what makes the United States the best place to live.
6.Mountain Creek Water Park
This seasonal water park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, and is located in Vernon Township, New Jersey at the Mountain Creek ski resort. Featuring suck thrill rides as the Alpine Slide, Kamikaze, Surf Hill, the Alpine Pipeline, High Tide Wavepool, High Anxiety, the Tarzan Swing and Cannonball Falls, this water park attracts all ages.
7.Carlo's Bake Shop
This family owned business, located in Hoboken, New Jersey, is the setting for the popular Cake Boss reality television show airing on TLC. Founded by Carlo Guastaferro in 1910, the bakery was purchased by Buddy Valstro, Sr. in 1964. The bakery has remained in the Guastaferro ever since, run by Buddy Valastro Jr.

8.Turtle Back Zoo
Located in West Orange, New Jersey, the Turtle Back Zoo spans 20 acres, and features animals from every continent in the world, with the exception of Antarctica. With over 700 animals and about the same number of birds, the zoo is named after a rock formation the area. In addition to the exhibits, visitors can enjoy a train ride, carousel and playground.
9.The Stone Pony
The Stone Pony. has been a prominent fixture in the music scene and an intregral part of Asbury Park since February of 1974. Founder Robert "Butch" Piekla came upon the name in a dream, and joined forces with co-founder John P. "Jack" Roig to purchased the building. It's first house band, the Blackberry Booze Band, featured none other than Steve Van Zant, who later went on to join Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.

10.The New Jersey Performing Arts Center
One of the biggest perofmring arts centers in the United States, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center is located in downtown Newark. Opening in 1997, it has become a must see for over 7 million visitors to the city, as well as locals. The facility is home to the Prudential Hall, Victoria Theatre, The Chase Room and the Horizon Theater.
11.The Pine Valley Golf Course
The Pine Valley Golf Course is located in southern New Jersey and in 2012 was ranked #1 in Golf Magazine's Top 100 Golf Courses in the United States and in the world. With it's classic club house, pro shop, board room and patio, amongst several dining rooms, the golf course also features guest rooms and a small lounge.

12.The Outlets at Bergen Town Center
The Outlets at Bergen Town Center are a big attraction for locals and tourists alike for great deals on clothing, accessories, jewelry and more. The only downside is getting all the great bargains you bought packed into your suitcase for your trip home. Locals definitely have the home court advantage.
