1.Disneyland

Disneyland and Disney World are dream lands for both kids and adults. With locations in Florida and California, these popular amusement parks have captured the hearts of many, with it's characters and rides. When you see the castle, you know you're there. It's one of the most famous landmarks in the world.




2.Hershey's Milk Chocolate Kisses

I know it's hard to imagine a world without the Hershey Kiss, but it's true. Most popular here in the United States, other countries don't have Hershey's milk chocolate, and the only kisses they have, are the ones on their lips. However, in America, the Hershey Kiss has become symbolic with love ... and what says love more than milk chocolate?



3.Football

An American pastime that has become an obsession for most football fans, the game is mostly popular in the United States. Marking the fall season with the big game on Thanksgiving, American's will brave the cold, heading to stadiums in their town to watch the local game. Tailgating at NFL games has become bigger than the actual game itself. It's not just a sport, it's an event.





4.Velveeta

Velveeta Cheese is the fake cheese that has become a favorite in the United States, but not so much anywhere else. Buy it as a slab, in a jar, or in the frozen section in ready to eat foods, like shells and cheese. There's something heartwarming about the warm, yellow cheese that serves as a comfort food for kids and adults.



5.Hostess Twinkies

This sugary treat was almost gone from shelves, but made a comeback, much to Twinkie lovers everywhere. A favorite in the United States, other countries do not have this kind of luxury. The yellow vanilla, tubular cake, with white frosting in the middle, has made it's appearance in every lunchbox across the country, at one time or another.





6.Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving celebrates the dinner the pilgrims had after their first harvest in the new world. All across the United States we remember that day with a giant roasted turkey, stuffing, brown gravy, potatoes, squash, salad, and lots and lots of desserts. It's a day of feasting and enjoying time with family and close friends, and remembering how our country started.



7.Kool AidPhoto

Everyone remembers the Kool Aid man commercials.Well, only those in the United States remember. Elsewhere, Kool Aid is non-existent. However, for us, it meant it was summer when that giant jug with a face started making his appearances on television screens across America. And when you got your first sip of cherry Kool Aid, it's distinct flavor tells you your home.

8.Root Beer

We may take root beer for granted, but in other countries, this flavored soda doesn't exist. They don't know what they're missing! What about the American favorite, the root beer float? Sure, they can float their ice cream in a cola, but it's just not the same. Root beer is a classic in the United States with a long history.



9.Lucky Charms

In the United States, Lucky Charms are "magically delicious," but in other countries you may have to take out a loan just to buy a box, if they have them at all. Children in America don't realize how lucky they are to get those marshmallow shapes all to themselves. The best part When the milk turns pink, blue, yellow, green or purple, all swirled together.

10.Cowboys

Cowboys are as American as they come. The wranglers conquered the wild west, often rumbling with Indians in an effort to settle. The western movie is an American favorite, as little boys wish to grow up to be real cowboys. And some do! On farms across the country, cowboys saddle up and head out on their horses, spurs and all.

12.4th Of July

The 4th of July celebrates America's independence from England. No other country in the world celebrates this day on July 4th, except the United States. Barbecues, cook-outs, fireworks, the beach and pool parties are the norm as friends and family gather to mark the beginning of summer. A tradition that united all 50 states.
