So, how much do you know about your favorite Disney princess? Other than what you see in the movies or read in the books, there is so much you need to know about the Disney princesses. Disney officially recognized the following eleven characters as Disney princesses. The list includes Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel, Snow White, Ariel, Mulan, Aurora, Jasmine, Tiana, Merida, and Pocahontas. Check out these fifteen fascinating and little-known Disney Princess facts.
1.Snow White is the Youngest Disney Princess
Snow White is the youngest of all Disney princesses, being a 14 year old girl. Surprisingly, she is the oldest Disney princess in terms of movie appearances. Also, Snow White is the shortest of all the princesses. She is the only 'white princess' in the franchise to have black hair.
2.Mulan is the First Disney Princess, Who is not Actually a Princess
Mulan is the only Disney princess who is not actually a princess. She wasn't born or married into royalty. The character is based on an ancient Chinese legend 'Hua Mulan', a powerful female warrior.
3.Cinderella is Considered Head of all the Disney Princesses
Cinderella is the most popular Disney princess. Disney gives great importance to Cinderella and always keeps her in the middle of all the franchise's publicity photos or videos. Many people feel Snow White deserves to be the leader of all the princesses because she is the first ever Disney princess. Cinderella is the second Disney princess, and thirteen years younger to Snow White in terms of movie debut.
4.Ariel is the Only Disney Princess to Have Children
Ariel has a daughter named Melody, making her the only Disney princess in the franchise who is a parent. She is also the only Disney princess who is not born to a human parent.
5.Ariel and Hercules are Cousins
Ariel's father is King Triton. King Triton is son of Poseidon. Poseidon and Zeus (father of Hercules) are brothers. Technically, Ariel and Hercules are cousins once removed.

All the Official Disney princesses are either born or married into the royalty. Cinderella, Belle, and Tiana are married into the royalty while the remaining Disney princesses were born in the royal families. The three Disney Princess Cinderella, Belle, and Tiana are always seen wearing opera gloves. Princesses who are princess by birth like Snow White, Rapunzel, Merida, and Ariel etc don't wear such gloves, and show their hands and wrists.

7.Pocahontas is the Only Disney Princess Based on a Real Person
Pocahontas is a real Virginian Indian woman who is well known for her association with the colonial settlement at Virginia. Disney Princess Pocahontas is based on the story of this Indian lady. Pocahontas is the only Disney princess character that was developed based on a real person. Princess Mulan is based on a Chinese legend, and no one really knows whether or not the real Mulan (Hua Mulan) existed.

8.Snow White is the Only Princess to Receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
In 1987, the Hollywood Walk of Fame honored Princess Snow White by giving a star, making Snow White the only Disney princess to ever receive it. Tinker Bell too received the honor in 2010, but she is not actually an official Disney princess.
9.Aurora is the Quietest Disney Princess Ever
Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty has only 18 minutes of screen time and 18 lines of dialogs, making her the quietest of all Disney princesses. She is also the only princess to have violet eyes!

She kissed Jafar Fandub, an antagonist from Disney's Aladdin franchise, making her the only Disney princess to ever kiss a villain. She is also one of the only two Disney princesses who wear pants. The other is Princess Mulan.

No other Disney princess has magical powers except Rapunzel. Her magical powers lie in her long hair. She still has the magical power in her tears, even after her iconic long hair was cut.
13.Merida is the Only Disney Princess Who Doesn't Have an American Accent
She is a Bavarian, and has Scottish accent, making her the only Disney princess who doesn't have an American accent. Even though Disney princesses are from different parts of the world, they all speak in American English (except Merida).
14.Pocahontas is the Only Princess to Have a Tattoo
No other princess in the Disney franchise has a tattoo on their body except Pocahontas. She has a clearly visible tattoo on her hand.
15.Princess Belle and the Blue Color
In the Beauty and the Beast movie, Belle was shown wearing blue dress all the time. No other person in the town wears blue except her. Later, the 'Beast' is also shown wearing blue colored dress. Interestingly, Beast also has blue eyes.
