Black Friday is almost here. People love Black Friday for all the fabulous deals it brings with it. There are a good number of individuals who hate the whole idea of Black Friday. The opinions of consumers may differ, but all retail workers have one strong view towards the Black Friday sale. They hate the day. Here are fifteen horrific Black Friday mishaps shared by retail workers, in their words. 

1.Tour De Black Friday

Back in my poor college days when I worked in Walmart we had a fight break out over a bike. Fists were thrown, and there was some blood. Eventually, one guy got hold of it and managed to get away from the crowd; he rode the bike out of the store to flee his pursuers (without paying).

2.The Over Excited Customer

Someone punched a security guard in the face because he thought he was a customer skipping to the front of the line... he was just walking in the door to start his shift. So yeah, my town has those kinds of people in it.

3.Dryer - The Most Convenient Gadget in an Electronic Store to Poop

I worked for BBY for six years. Everyone knows about the lines that you stand in outside. Part of the process is once you get into the store you stand in another line to buy your products. Our manger thought he was particularly smart winding the line through our appliance department. Mind you there is usually 1500+ people in the building at 6 am (with a line still outside). Well, we get a complaint from one of our patrons. After checking the dryers, we find a nice turd in one. Good size solid constancy just sitting there. A lady who did not want to lose her spot opened the dryer and shat right there in front of everyone. I decided that day even though I may want stuff; I will never shit in front of an entire crowd of people for $799 50" plasma TV.

4.The Granny's Punch

Working in the electronics dept. A little old lady punched a teenage boy in the face to get the last radio he had picked up. She snatched it up and ran.

5.She Took Things Too Seriously

A lady called 911 because we wouldn't price match with Best Buy.

6.When Black Friday Deals Matter More than a Heart Surgery

I worked at Walmart for four years and worked all Black Fridays. I've seen a woman hit another woman in the chest with those toddler car boxes you drive in. The woman who got hit was a week or 3 post op of open heart surgery. Lots of blood. Right In front of me. No idea what happened to the woman who hit her. I do think she got the toy car purchased it and left.

7.Customer Apocalypse

Customers tore down our mall's door.

8.Percy Should Feel Happy about This

Former Toys R Us employee. A woman was frantically going through every rack of Thomas The Tank Engine toys, pulling things out, putting them on the ground and repeating on her search. I offered assistance, and immediately she asked for "Percy, I need Percy!". I usually worked in R' Zone that was video games and electronics so if it wasn't Thomas I had no clue. She explained he was green and after helping her look and checking out online it appeared we didn't have it. She looked at me and said "I cant go home without this" and began to break down and cry. I stood there awkwardly for about a minute, said "Let me know if you need anything else" and slowly walked away.

9.Two Unwelcomed Guests

Last year during the PEAK OF BLACK FRIDAY someone brought their two dogs into the store. And let these dogs shit all over the place, and then the lady who had brought the dogs and every other person shopping tracked dog shit through out the entirety of the store (I work at a small box store forever 21). My manger and I had to crawl around and scrap what we could up off the floors with box cutters, disinfectant spray, and paper towels DURING THE PEAK OF BLACK FRIDAY. It's been a year and I still can't figure out why you'd bring your dogs Black Friday shopping.

11.This Painful Accident

So it was Black Friday 2003 and I'm in the "r-zone" in Toys R Us ringing up a customer. Suddenly I see a co-worker up on the tallest ladder getting an assembled bike down from the ceiling. Here comes this crazy lady bangs her cart several times into his ladder telling hinge is in her way. He fell a good 10 feet off the ladder, and the ladder crashed into the side. Lady said, " you shouldn't have been in the way!!" Rolls her cart away. The coworker was rushed to ER! Snapped his wrist in half. I will never shop/work Black Friday Ever!

12.Black Friday Sale is a Total Chaos

I worked at Target for five years as an electronics team lead, and I saw some gnarly shit. The worst though was probably when I saw a man throw a 42" TV at another man for cutting in line. The man that received the Westinghouse to the face received a concussion and several stitches while the thrower got multiple blows to the face from surrounding customers, an assault charge, and at least one night in county. Good times.

13.That Was Smooth

Working at Best Buy, I was in charge of the Home Theater register on Black Friday. There was a woman in line who leaned over vomited in the floor then stepped back in line. Didn't skip a beat.

14.One of the Many Reasons Why Retail Employees Hate Black Friday Sales

I was managing an electronic store in a mall and decided to be a nice manager and get my coworkers some coffee from Starbucks. As I was walking out of Starbucks, I noticed the doors at the entrance of the mall slowly begin to open. They (the zombie customers) had somehow managed to open the doors and dear lord Jesus I started running. Holding three full trays for a total of 12 cups of coffee. I was looking back and seeing all these people running after me. Complete zombie movie scene. I finally made it into my store and locked the store. We did not open until official time and had some nice coffee. That day I worked 36 hours straight. Black Friday.

15.Why Would They Deep-fry Thanksgiving Turkey in a Parking Lot?
