Miley Cyrus 2013 Timeline

1.On Saturday Night Live

Miley made fun of herself when she hosted Saturday Night Live. It's said that if you can laugh at yourself, you are a well adjusted person. Miley, donned in her teddy bear suit from the VMA Awards, took to the stage, twerking and sticking her tongue, and sexing it up on television.

2.Miley Twerking Santa

Ending the year off with Santa, we think she may have gone from the naughty to nice list, after twerking for good old St. Nick. Dressed in a sequin red thong and belly baring matching top, Miley gave him the business, better than she did with Robin Thicke. After all, he's Santa.

3.Split with Liam Hemsworth

Miley made news again when she announced her split from her fiance, actor Liam Hemsworth. The two were engaged for over a year, but decided to go their separate ways. Speculation is that Miley had changed so dramatically in the last year, she was hardly the same girl he proposed to.

4.Today Show

As if we weren't shocked enough by Miley's stage performances, she took to the stage on The Today Show, with an entourage of dancing little people. Performing both hit singles, We Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball, Cyrus, wearing shorty short shorts, danced and wiggled her way around the stage of daisies and giant mushrooms.

5.Maxim's Hot 100 List

Beating out Beyonce, Mila Kunis, Jessica Alba, Rhianna, and other starlets, Mila Kunis appeared topped Maxim's Hot 100 List.

6.Rolling Stone Magazine Cover

Miley went topless on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine wearing only gold jewelry and dark eyeliner. With her tattoos visible, no part of the beloved Hannah Montana was seen, just the sultry sexy starlet that Miley had become. And of course her tongue made an appearance. It couldn't just stay in her mouth.

7.Bangerz Tour

Miley promoted her new album with the Bangerz tour. Big tongue and all, Miley toured the country, wearing skimpier and skimpier outfits, and incorporating her twerking specialty into the shows. She knew what audiences wanted to see and she played it up for all it was worth.

8.Wrecking Ball

Miley's music video for her single, "Wrecking Ball," was released shortly after, and if you thought the controversy was through the roof from her twerk session on the VMA's, the wrecking ball busted right through it. Scantily clad Miley is seen swinging on a wrecking ball, and licking a sledge hammer, before she is completely nude, except for a pair of work boots, swinging on the wrecking ball again.

9.MTV Video Music Awards

It all exploded at the end of the summer when Miley sang at the MTV Video Music Awards. Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines was huge and when Miley began singing the song, she stripped off her teddy costume to reveal a nude, leather skimpy bar and bottoms. The audience was brought to their feet though, when Thicke joined her and she began twerking on the married singer.

10.We Can't Stop

Miley and her "We Can't Stop" music video hit television screens and we were all introduced to the dancing teddy bears that we just never really understood. Why is Miley dancing with teddies, we wondered, but we were deterred from that question with a bigger one. Why is she dressed in 1980's style workout attire?

11.V Magazine Shoot

With her spiked short hair that is dyed pink, Miley posed for V Magazine, and we got to see a different side of her, side boob that is. The daring shot, with Miley covering her left breast, reveals the tattoo right underneath, as her black blazer hangs open over ripped jeans.

12.Miley's First Twerk

Miley put the twerk on the map when she posted a video on Twitter. Dressed in a unicorn onesie she twerked it out in a black and white video. With only white behind her and under her, all you saw was the unicorn twerking, and soon everyone wanted to dance like Miley.
