It is a fact that rest of the world finds America and Americans weird. It is so because everything from language, culture to food is different here. We aren't weird; we are just too cool for rest of the world to understand! Friends from UK and Canada never find it boring to show how everything here in America is different. Here are fifteen funny pictures that show how Americans confuse the rest of the world with their funny habits and culture.

Welcome to United States of America, where life is all about enjoying and celebrating! We love our work. We love our food. We dress the way we want and don't really care what others think. Coming back to the topic, why not have all cool things on sign board when you have stuff to show off? Being casual is perfectly fine in US! Why so formal?
2.Because Americans Like Science
Many people around the world think that Americans have an obsession with Bill Nye. To be fair and frank, They are so - because they love science! Americans are obsessed with science and technology. People like Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson are popular here because they talk about science. If someone don't yet know who Bill Nye is, then they are definitely not an American.
3.This Fitting Reply
Millions around the globe enjoy watching American TV shows. They often get confused by timings like 8/7c, which are mostly used by TV broadcast networks. Timings like 8/7c are combination of two time zones Eastern and Central. 8/7c means that a show will start at 8 PM (Eastern) and 7 PM (Central). United States have about six different time zones. Not all countries in the world are big. United Kingdom is roughly half the size of California.
4.That is When Schools are Supposed to Start
In most countries around the world, schools usually start any time from July to September. They are supposed to open after summer vacation. Unless you are from a country like Australia, where summer falls in December, you will find American start of school year just fine. Nonetheless, good and funny explanation there!
5.Glazed Donut Bacon Cheeseburger
And, they are real!!! You can get them in many places in US. Trust us, they taste bad. To all those who make fun of American food, yes, we love experimenting. We have burgers that are bigger than a human head! On average, an American eats about 2000 pounds (1 US ton) of food a year! It's all happening because we love food and probably explains why diabetes and obesity are so common in US.
6.This Biscuit vs. Cookie Confusion
Brits get mad when you tell them that you eat cookies with gravy or bacon! It is so because biscuits are mainstream, With gravy or bacon it makes it more American than just a plain biscuit. In the picture, you can see a clueless British person saying "why would you eat gravy with biscuits?" Friends from UK enjoy their biscuits with a cup of tea.
7.US and Its Unique Measurement System
Everything in US is different including measurement system. US uses a measurement system called 'customary units', which is developed from old English units. The rest of the world uses metric system that has measuring units like meters, liters and grams. UK has more confusing measuring system, which is a mix of all measuring systems!
United States is the only country that has Month/Day/Year date format. The whole world finds it weird and argues about logic behind it.

8.That's One Good Way to Annoy a Brit
We all have at least one British friend we met in university or workplace. Brits are usually good people. They are tolerant, but they generally get mad because of the fact we don't understand many of their things.
There are a ton of things you can do to annoy them just if you want to. One of them is playing 'tea stereotype' card!

British people love tea. They often say that Americans don't know how to make tea. Most British people are always amazed by the fact that Americans don't have kettles.
As you can read from the picture, an American has answered a Brit's question in the funniest way possible! He or she was referring to Boston Tea Party where patriots destroyed an entire ship of tea, and threw tea chests into Boston Harbor.

10.American Currency and Green Color
In other countries, banknotes are available in multiple colors. They have different colors for bills of different values. America uses a specialized green ink on dollar bills. American dollar bills can't be copied, reproduced, or even destroyed by acid. The country introduced green dollar bills back in 1857, mainly to prevent counterfeiters making fake money.
11.Another Case of US English vs. British English
We all use 'quite' to describe something that's really good, big etc. When we say 'that was quite a long story', we actually mean it is very long. However, when British people use 'quite' in a sentence, they only mean 'okay', 'sort of', 'fairly' etc.
British people are quite good at English!!! Aren't they?
12.This Sums up American Culture!
People from around the world, post and share this picture in internet forums with taglines that read as 'this sums up American culture'. Well, we don't have any problem in accepting that. After all, we need food to survive when we live, and we need God when leave our physical bodies. Why only America? This should be any country's culture! Eat, live and die peacefully.
13.One More Confused British Person
If you're from UK, you will also be confused by the fact that why anyone would store 3 gallons of tea in a bottle that is supposed to carry milk! Welcome to America! We don't use kettles to make tea. Most Americans prefer drinking coffee. When comes to tea, oh yes, we enjoy iced tea.
14.Another American Thing That Rest of the World Finds Weird
We agree that names of school grades in US are little different than others. As you can read, the words like freshman, sophomore etc confuses many non-Americans. UK has a pretty straight forward and a little boring school grades. France, on the other hand, seems to have funny and interesting grades.
15.America is Always Different
We are different, and we are happy about it! Yes, we spell differently. American spellings are mostly based on how they are pronounced. Some people do get confused how Americans managed to make their own English grammar when all other former British colonies still follow standard British grammar. The answer is simple! Americans wanted to have a culture of their own!
