Located in Dufftown, Scotland and owned by William Grant & Sons, the Balvenie Distillery produces a Speyside single malt Scotch. William Grant began working at seven years old, eventually ending up as a bookkeeper at Mortlach Distillery in 1866. It was there that he learned the distilling trade. At twenty years old, he bought a field near Balvenie Castle and began his own distillery.
