Creative DIY Wall Decor

1.Funky calendar

This is certainly a different way to have a calendar in your home because it takes up most of the wall and it is also extremely bright to look at. However, it is rather cool and it is something that you can do at home just it may not be that good for the kitchen.

2.Doilies

Those doilies that you would normally throw out can actually be used in an extremely creative way as can be seen here. As long as you have different sizes and some basic artistic skills, then you are able to create a work of art that flows across the wall and really helps to break up a large and rather boring space.

3.Family tree

This is really taking a family tree to a new level, but at the same time if you have a lot of personal photographs that you want to display, then this is the way to do it. The hardest part is going to be drawing the tree, but you should be able to do it by taking your time, then enjoy arranging everything.

4.Jewelry

This is cool as it is actually giving you a place to hang your jewelry while also doubling as some wall art at the same time. All you need is the wooden frame and various nails and as you can see here they also put a pattern on three panels to really help it to catch the eye.

5.Tubs

This simple idea uses metal and numbers to create a piece of art that may not be used to completely dominate a wall, but can be used to just fill a space and add some life to a corner. The entire idea here is just to have something sticking up out of the wall to give it depth and there are no limits as to what you can actually use.

6.Fake Flowers

This is cool because it involves you simply having to draw branches, using stencils for some beautiful flowers, and then using the heads of artificial ones to give some sense of 3D to your piece of art on the wall. You have to say that it is actually very effective and of course there are so many things that you can do along similar lines.

7.Paper bands

Ok so this does need you to have some artistic ability, but by using paper bands you can create a fantastic looking piece of art using only them and the correct glue. The result is something that can look great, but it all depends on your own ability to take what is in your mind and turn it into reality on the wall.

8.Old crates

If you have some old crates lying around, then do not throw them out or stick them in the garage because instead you can turn them into small shelving units and use them to really brighten up a wall. Of course you need to decorate the inside of them, or keep them plain to be more rustic, but they are certainly effective.

9.Clipboards

If you are looking for something a bit different for your walls, then how about these clipboards? They may not be the first thing you think about when you are trying to decide how to cover up this large space, but in the right setting they are going to be very effective and at least it is colorful as well.

10.Special clock

How cool is this clock? Ok it may not be something that everybody appreciates, but you have to admire that it is indeed extremely creative. This clock is of course made up of different cups and saucers and it is certainly quite eye catching even though it may not be your own particular cup of tea.

11.Art

The beauty about this particular idea is that you really do not have to be a fantastic artist to produce something that is going to really fill up a space on a wall. This branch simply involves some lines painted and you can then buy a stamp that resembles a leaf from a craft store and simply dab it on to finish the look.

12.Paper cases

This really is very clever indeed as it involves you creating a wall display using one those paper cases that you can buy when baking cakes. Of course you can get them in varying sizes, so arrange them like this and glue them into place for something that actually looks really nice.
