Vegans don't eat meat. They stay away from dairy and every edible product that comes from animals kingdom. Many people confuse vegans with vegetarians. Vegetarians don't eat meat but consume dairy and other animal related products like honey. Vegetarianism is a choice. Veganism, on the other hand, is a philosophy. Unlike vegetarians, vegans isolate themselves from the other groups based on their food choices. Needless to say, many people find them annoying! Vegans are everywhere. 1.Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde is a strict vegan. Her efforts helped her snag PETA's sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2010 title. During an interview with Ecorazzi, Olivia Wilde revealed just how it is to be a vegan, she said, "Truly committing to the vegan lifestyle is tough stuff. It involves a whole lot more than just abstaining from meaty meals and ditching dairy products. Vegans generally won't even wear wool, silk, down or any other product that has been made from an animal."

2.Russell Brand

Russell Brand has been conscious about his health since he was a teenager. The actor-comedian became a vegetarian at the age of 14. He converted to living a vegan lifestyle in October 2011. In fact, the comedian announced the news via Twitter. On October 11, he tweeted, "I'm now vegan, goodbye egg."

3.Tobey Maguire

Tobey Maguire became a vegetarian in 1992; he transitioned into a full-blown vegan in 2009.He was declared the "World's sexiest Vegetarian" by PETA in 2002. Maguire often changes his diet, depending on the role he takes on. He decreased his caloric intake for the movie Seabiscuit and then packed on the weight for Spider-Man 2.

5.Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood is a huge animal lover; she is also a vegan. The country music singer stopped eating meat at the age of thirteen because she could not stand the thought of eating one of her own animals. In 2005, Underwood was voted "World's sexiest Vegetarian" by PETA. She received the honor once again in 2007.

6.Russell Simmons

Mogul Russell Simmons has been a vegan since 1998. He was inspired to become a vegan after learning about "the cruelty animals raised for food must endure." Since then, he has become a huge animal rights advocate. He practices both Ahimsa and veganism;for environmental and health benefits as well.

7.Woody Harrelson

Actor Woody Harrelson is an ethical vegan and mainly indulges in raw food. On top of not eating meat or dairy, Harrelson does not consume sugar or flour. He changed up his diet during the beginning stages of his acting career. Harrelson was voted PETA's sexiest male vegan in 2012.


8.Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman has been a proud vegan since 2009. She made the switch from vegetarianism to veganism after readingSafran Foer's book, "Eating Animals." In addition to not eating animals, the actress does not wear fur, leather or feathers. In 2007, Portman launched her very own brand of vegan footwear.

9.Bill Clinton

Former president Bill Clinton is looking healthier than ever. Clinton took charge of his life and adopted a vegan diet back in 2011. The politician said he lost 20 pounds and felt healthier than ever after taking on the vegan way of living. Clinton decided to become vegan after it was recommended by doctors Dean Ornish and Caldwell Esselstyn.

Jessica Chastain Is a diehard vegan. Her mother Jerri was a vegan chef, so the actress more than likely learned what she knows from her. During an interview, Chastain spoke openly about her decision to become a vegan. She said, "I don't want to torture anything. It's about trying to live a life where I'm not contributing to the cruelty in the world. While I am on this planet, I want everyone I meet to know that I am grateful they are here."

Betty White has been following veganism from a very long time. She has been an animal rights activist throughout her life. She firmly believes that animals shouldn't be harmed for the sake of food, as nature has given us numerous vegetarian food sources to eat and survive. White is one of the oldest celebrity vegans. She is in her 90s now but "The Golden Girl" actress didn't give up on preaching about veganism. A couple of years ago, on her 91st birthday, Betty White asked all her friends and well-wishers to donate to the Morris Animal Foundation, a United States charity organization that is devoted to animal care.

12.Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson is no longer feasting on the ears of boxers. In 2011, Tyson admitted that he was living a vegan lifestyle. The former heavyweight champ credits his vegan diet for helping him lose 100 pounds. He also says that becoming vegan helped him overcome the bad health effects of drug use.
