Harry Potter book series is one of the most popular book series ever. The Harry Potter movies, which were made based on the Harry Potter books are highly popular as well and have collected billions of dollars for the producers. Although we may not read another Harry Potter book, or watch another film, the Harry Potter series is still alive as a new theater play named 'Harry Potter & the Cursed Child,' which will be released on July 31, 2016. The play will be performed at Palace Theatre, London. It will be available in a digital downloadable format for the international fans. To make fake money, you have to spend money; and that's exactly what the producers of Harry Potter did. For Gringotts' bank coin collection scene in Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows Part 2, approximately 210,000 coins were created. If real money could be created this easy, then the US economy wouldn't be so bad.

2.Harry Potter Movie Credits

Harry Potter, the character, may be funny-looking, but the movie itself is fantasy. To liven things up a bit, the creators decided to have a little fun with the credits.At the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the credits read, "No dragons were harmed in the making of this movie." They didn't harm any dragons, but those poor lice were exterminated during filming of the Chamber of Secrets.



3.Lice Outbreak

Even with all of the supposed magicians on-set, none of them were able to make a certain creepy crawler disappear. During the filming of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, a lice outbreak occurred among the children cast members As a result; nurses had to be added to the payroll. Every morning, before shooting began, the children had to undergo lengthy checks to make sure they were lice-free.

4.Sirius Black's Tattoos

In the Harry Potter films, character Sirius Black was known for having distinctive tattoos on his chest. His tattoos are actually copied from Russian prison gangs. The patterns are usually used to classify the person as someone to be feared and valued. There is no mention of Sirius having tattoos in the Harry Potter books, though.
The large tattoo right in the middle of his chest symbolizes his ability to transform into a dog. The tattoo on the lower right pec looks similar to Chinese symbol of steel. Some tattoos look like modified Futhark runes. The others look Hebrew and Russian letters.

5.Dragon's Blood Tree

In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, dragon blood is discovered to be an actual oven cleaner. Dragon blood isn't completely fictional. What fans of the series also don't realize is that Dragon's blood is a red resin that is extracted from a tree called Dracaena Cinnabari or dragon blood tree. So, there is a something called dragon blood in the real world, and it comes from dragon blood trees. 
The real dragon blood is used mostly as dye although it has got some medicinal properties including its ability to induce abortion. In ancient times, Dragon blood was used as a dye, incense, varnish, and medicine. The tree species is now threatened with only a few of them left in Socotra Islands of Yemen.

6.Salazar Slytherin's Locket

It's always good to have a backup plan. Approximately forty versions of Salazar Slytherin's notorious locket had to be created for the Harry Potter series.The reason for such a large number of standbys is due to Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ron Weasley's (Rupert Grint) failed attempts to destroy it during filming. Several self-made jewelry designers have gone on to create replicas of the popular locket.

7.J.K. Rowling Million Dollar Lady

There are several renowned novelists in the United States, but their bank account doesn't look anything like J.K Rowling's. The Harry Potter author is the first person, in the US, to become a billionaire by writing books. Additionally, in 2007, Rowling was runner-up for TIME magazine's "Person of the Year." She has written seven Harry Potter novels and one short story about the young wizard. She was actually very poor and was suffering from Depression before writing Harry Potter books.

8.Hagrid's Beard Trap

Do not adjust your screen that is not a Hobo you see. This is Robbie Coltrane, who famously portrayed Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter films. His disheveled beard got him into some sticky situations during filming. Coltrane reportedly got a mini-fan and a fruit bat stuck in his beard. 10.Ronald Bilius "Ron" Weasley

Ron Weasley is known for his quirky nature in the Harry Potter series, but J.K Rowling originally had a different vision for the character. The character was supposed to swear a lot, but Rowling's publisher did not like the idea. It is said that the publisher thought that type of language would be inappropriate for children.

The name 'Hogwarts' may sound like a disease you get from a toad, but that definitely isn't the case. Harry Potter novelist J.K Rowling revealed during an interview that the inspiration for the name of Potter's school in the books, "Hogwarts," subconsciously came from a plant she saw. 12.Moaning Myrtle

Moaning Myrtle appeared in two Harry Potter films -Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). Shirley Henderson played the young girl in both films. Although she looked like a child, Henderson was 37-years-old when she starred in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. She is the oldest actress to ever portray a child in the films. She is now 47-years-old.

13.The 't' is Silent in Voldemort

We bet many Harry Potter fans from all parts of the world may be pronouncing the Voldemort's name wrong. The letter 'T' in the name is silent, so the actual pronunciation is Voldemor. The name Voldemort means 'theft of death' in French. 
As you might have known already, Lord Voldemort's original name is Tom Marvolo Riddle. He later changed his name to Lord Voldemort in an attempt to hide his half-blood heritage. The name Tom Marvolo Riddle is anagram to 'I am Lord Voldemort'. Well, no one except J.K. Rowling pronounces Voldemort as Voldemor, though!

14.Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter titles are so long, that it's hard to keep them straight. The original title of the first book was titled "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone"and that name appeared on books in Canada, Australia and the UK. By the time the first Harry Potter movie was released, J.K. Rowling had already written about five Harry Potter books. Severus Snape's character is pretty much straightforward in the first five books. His love for Lilly Potter was revealed only in the 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' book. No one except Alan Rickman had known the story of Snape before the book was published.
